LISTEN
Experimental American duo Nmperign (aka Bhob Rainey and Greg Kelley) are renowned worldwide for their extraordinarily developed and inventive approach to improvisation. Stretching the possibilities of their instruments (trumpet and saxophone) beyond boundaries so far away that many people will not even have realised they existed, Nmperign create and explore whole new worlds of sound in their structured, highly-detailed performances. They began in 1998 and in that time have crossed the globe performing at the Musique Action, Musique Innovatrices, Densites festivals in France, the Superfici Sonore festival in Italy, and the De Stijl and No Fun festivals in the US. Their recordings have been released by Twisted Village,Intransitive, Siwa, Rossbin (Italy), and Selektion (Germany). Their latest CD is a double CD with Jason Lescalleet entitled Love Me Two Times and will be released in June on Intransitive.
